The finalists competed for the title in front of 300 guests and a host of celebrity judges including Kym Marsh, Chelsee Healy, Calum Best, Miss England and the 2013 Miss Manchester.
This year saw the 10th Anniversary of the Miss Manchester Beauty Pageant and Competition was tough, they were under pressure, especially with current Miss England and Miss UK holder, Kirsty Heslewood, judging the competition. The crown was taken by 19 year old Codie Hayward, from Crumpsall, who dazzled the audience in all three rounds.
First runner-up on the night was Kirsty Collins with Rebecca Derwent coming in at third.
The event Supported charities Beauty With a Purpose, in association with Miss World, Variety the children’s charity, Forever Manchester and the Philippine’s Typhoon Appeal.
Entertainment on the night included some of Manchester’s up and coming talent including Emilie Cunliffe, the daughter of Coronation Street star and Miss Manchester judge Kym Marsh, rising stars Olivia Wood and Carly Hopkinson. Along with JSky and Britain’s Got Talent contestant Nick Celino.
The evening went out with a bang and the big announcement of the night was that next year will see the launch of a Mr Manchester competition!
