In July 2015, we left our offices in a convoy of vans from Cheshire and made the long journey to Exeter to begin preparations for the celebrity wedding of the year, Peter Andre & Emily MacDonagh in the beautiful setting of Mamhead House.
We transformed the stunning Grade 1 listed property which is set in 164 acres of land overlooking the East Devon Coast, into their fairytale dream wedding venue. The style of the wedding was extremely classy and sophisticated with subtle blends of colour. We dressed the elegant grey and lace table cloths with stunning glassware and charger plates to add the finishing touches.
On their arrival guests were welcomed into a drinks reception within the gardens and courtyard before taking their seats in the beautifully elegant dressed orangery for the ceremony at which Peter & Emily faced each other to say their vows. Their vows were took place under an arch way of beautiful flowers with lanterns and candles lining the edges of the orangery.
After an emotional exchanging of vows the happy newlyweds had their first surprise for the guests. Unbeknown to the guests we had planted musicians and singers amongst them who in splendid style started a rendition of the famous scene from Love Actually ‘All You Need Is Love’
Once leaving the Ceremony guests were surprised by a five piece Mariachi band that got everybody in the party mood. The day was filled with fantastic entertainment from start to finish with the resident pianist at The Ritz hotel in London Ian Gomes entertaining guests during the wedding breakfast.
The entertainment didn’t finish there as African Drummers & Dancers greeted the guests to escort them into the marquee for the evening part of the wedding. Both Pete & Emily joined the African drummers dancing and playing the drums. The marquee was styled as modern white nightclub, with white leather seating and white LED Dance floor a real contrast to the daytime look.
In the evening we brought in a piece of Pete’s Greek heritage with plate smashing, Greek dancing & even with his brother Chris providing some of the music. Emily’s Irish heritage was then brought in with Chris on the violin and Emily & her father Ru Irish dancing.
It then came Pete’s turn to take to the stage with his 10 piece band to perform Mark Ronson’s Up Town Funk, Pharrell Williams’ Happy & Michael Jacksons’ Shake Your Body.
To finish of the day in style a fabulous firework display was set off next to the marquee. It was the perfect end to a very special wedding day.
“Everything was just perfect. I’m so happy to be able to call Emily my wife.” – Peter Andre
