Another year another incredible Denise Welch Ball supporting the GEM Appeal! Bringing a little bit of East Asia to Manchester, with this year’s theme ‘Eastern Promise’.
This years guest list included many from the Coronation Street crowd, including Victoria Ekanoye, Samia Ghadie, Daniel Brocklebank as well as Cheshire Housewives Nick and Royson and fellow Loose Woman, Lisa Maxwell. Kate Thornton is no stranger to the GEM Appeal stage, and this year she hosted the show; alongside our most fabulous auctioneer yet, Miss Rory.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Denise Welch ball without a grand themed entrance. This year, we threw out all the stops, with traditional Chinese dancers, martial art monks and lion dancers, followed by the beautiful Denise herself, dressed in a stunning red gown with a traditional Chinese headpiece. Traditional performances continued throughout the evening, along with musical entertainment including the likes of Scott Chapman, Victoria Ekanoye, Four on the Floor, DJ Gary Damar and the incredibly talented Joe McElderry.
Once again we’d like to thank everyone involved who has helped us pull this wonderful event together every year; including suppliers, sponsors and all who have attended and supported the GEM Appeal Winter Ball.
