Darby Rimmer MND Foundation Launch

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”5″ display=”basic_slideshow”]Last Thursday we had the pleasure of supporting the launch of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation; and what a truly inspiring and emotional day it was. Their launch took place in the Beautiful Game Lounge at Anfield and was hosted by television reporter and trustee, Jo Currie. The event gave Stephen and Chris the opportunity to raise awareness of living with MND and how the foundation will help others, facing the same struggles.

Stephen Darby, a former professional footballer, retired late last year, following a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease. Determined to raise funds and awareness for MND, Stephen joined up with close friend and British Forces Veteran, Chris Rimmer. Together they are working to raise funds, offer grants and develop a network of support and information, for those diagnosed with the disease.

“Starting the foundation was a way of turning something so devastating into something positive. To have a positive impact on MND and to help those individuals and families living through it to support them.”- Stephen Darby
